The Winnipeg Wellness Expo celebrates its 23rd anniversary this weekend at the RBC Convention Centre with their biggest show to date.
“It’s a unique show that is dedicated to all areas of personal wellness and growth,” said Rick Thiessen, manager of the Wellness Expo. “This year we’ve got 130 exhibitors and there’s 31,000 tickets out there so far.”
The Wellness Expo has been assembling unique products, services and practitioners who focus on education and motivating people to be proactive in their health as opposed to reactive.
“Mental, physical, spiritual, financial, nutritional, emotional, environmental, holistic, pet wellness i mean we touch about everything so no matter who you are in the world there’s a product or service that’s here that could possible enhance or improve your quality of life,” Rick Thiessen, manager of the Wellness Expo has stated.
Back this year, is the New Earth Expo featuring an array of new services and products that stem from the more metaphysical and spiritual nature.
“We’ve been Winnipeg’s metaphysical headquarters for over 21 years,” said Lisa Tjaden from Radiance Gifts. “The Wellness Expo gives us the opportunity to meet new friends and visit with old ones.” Radiance will also feature a number of Tarot and Oracle readers at their booth as well.
Brie Henderson from Brie’s Botanicals will be at the Sacred Heart Holistic Healing Collective booth, a collaboration between Restore & Heal with Reiki, Brie’s Botanicals and Divine Light Therapies. “It’s exciting to be able to meet so many people under one roof,” said Brie. “It’s three days of educating people on safe, all natural, healthy eco-conscious products. We’ll be discussing and educating with aromatherapy, Reiki and crystal healing as well.”
This year’s Wellness Expo now consumes the entire first floor of the RBC Convention Centre with a vast selection of exhibitors to bring you the ultimate Body, Mind Soul Experience.
“We’ll be there discussing the nutritional value and benefits of turkey,” said Lynne Roy of the Manitoba Turkey Producers which represents 58 farm families in the province of Manitoba. Turkeys are raised year-round in Manitoba with an average farm producing 7,000 turkeys, three times a year. “And we’ll have plenty of recipe ideas and information at our booth.”
“We are also fortunate to have the co-founder of True Hope, David Stephan this year,” says Thiessen. “There will be two presentations courtesy of The Fresh Carrot. The Fresh Carrot will be hosting a massive display this year featuring the first ever organic food market right at the show.”
The Winnipeg Wellness Expo hours are Friday 5:00 to 9:00pm, Saturday 10:00am to 6:00pm and Sunday 12:00 to 5:00pm at the RBC Convention Centre.
